Why I chose Curtin!

People at Curtin University are very polite and helpful, especially if you don't speak their language very well. Everyone tries to help and understand the best way possible. The university is very organised and has many activities to integrate students, leisure options, sports, studies in different areas, volunteer work and prospects for the future. It also offers a lot of help when it comes to trying to find vacation work and resume help. Although I will only stay a year at Curtin before going back to Brazil I wish I could stay here for longer.

Why I would recommend Curtin?

Curtin University has an appropriate infrastructure for all courses, being especially famous in mining and mining engineering. Professors are in general specialised and great professionals. I would recommend Curtin University to another international student. Here I have received help from the "International Future Student" department and from other local student or experienced students that know what is going on. Despite I have only been at Curtin for 1 month, I can already feel at home. I also really enjoy how all the lectures are recorded to give you more feedback.

Curtin Review

Curtin University was a big change for me. I was put in an envirnoment full of people from all around the world and more importantly people of different ages. Curtin is a very welcoming place for everyone. I consider university as a place to study an obtain an education rather than a social place. Educationally, Curtin offers everything that a student may desire including ilectures (lectures online), one on one help from lectures as well as several services at the library. Socially, however, Curtin organises occasional events and parties which are mostly 18+ which makes the first year of a university a big boring as most students tend to be 17. The big negative, as with all universities in Australia, is that the costs are very inflated for international students. Nevertheless, I'm finding my experience at Curtin very worthwhile.

Life Altering.

Studying abroad is an amazing experience. It will forever alter your life. Your eyes are opened to the world. Yes, it can be hard. You miss home, your family, friends and the food. But trust me, it’s worth it. Plus, two years will go by like *snap*

Curtin Days

I would say Curtin has a wide range of facilities and services available to students. There are also many students from different backgrounds and cultures.

Studying in oversea will be the best idea. More concentration rather then study at own country.
