Good school

Studied the bachelor of audio engineering and sound production there, it was awesome. Facilities are pretty good for audio. Lecturers are great, really knowledgeable and are working in the industry so I feel like I’m learning from people that are actually doing it in the real world and doing it well. I feel like it was a real, hands on and down earth place to study. I didn’t feel like i was in a ‘uni bubble’, as the lecturers were pretty real about everything and honest about life in the real world as an engineer. The course really gave me the foundation that I needed to master audio and production. The biggest part of life is producing and I owe so much of it to JMC, the whole course meant a lot to me. I am now currently studying contemporary music performance after being out of JMC for 4 years, it’s great, fun and seems to be the only music degree that has its performances at good venues around the city, rather than just out of a Conservatorium.
