Best decision I ever made
I felt that the University was unique in offering the opportunity to study English/Welsh/NI Law in Scotland. The best thing about English Law at Dundee is the high quality of teaching and academic supervision. There are some really eminent lecturers and professors and it is a unique opportunity to have one of these individuals supervise your dissertation. At Dundee you are encouraged to ask questions and challenge what you are taught, however in order to successfully do this you need to come prepared to classes. In Level 4 I was elected as Law School President…I had the opportunity to affect decision-making in the University and make significant change to the experience of Law students. Furthermore I then decided to run for election as Deputy President of the Students' Association. I was successfully elected by the student body and had the opportunity to work full-time for a year improving the student experience at Dundee. Had I not taken the chance and gone for Law School President I may not have been where I am today.

Horrible
Don't ever join this unicersity , very few good professors , we had to go through a test professor who din teach well , after several complaints the professor was changed for the next semester students , unfortunately we were graded bad, n to top it all off , they have even horrible professors next semester , who just read the slides in italian and Chinese accents which is very hard to understand , let alone understanding the subject. And also partial to Europeans

A lifetime experience.
The University of Dundee gives you two big learning opportunities; one inside the class and second outside the class. The seller is the level of diversity in the class, not just in terms of nationality but also in terms of educational background, age, experience, geographical and lingual background. I would say the teaching is very practical. It helps you solve real-industry problems. There is an entrepreneurial society, The Enterprise Gym, which gives you the chance to work on your ideas and helps you connect with the industry's stakeholders. In terms of costs, Dundee is one of the most affordable cities in the UK. The experience outside the class is just unprecedented. There are various societies which you can join at any time during the year. You will see yourself having bakeshops, arranging excursion trips, planning nights out and representing your culture, food, ideas at multiple platforms. I made life-long friends from all parts of the world during this one year due to the level of interaction facilitated by the Union's initiatives. All-in-all, it's not just a degree that the University of Dundee offers, it's a lifetime experience.

Exciting Student Life
What I really like about Dundee is the approachability of the lecturers: they are very friendly and helpful…class sizes are just right. I also enjoy the fact that we get to have other modules aside from our main subject area, which allows us to acquire a general knowledge in different fields while pursuing our degree. Concerning psychology, in particular, I enjoy the fact that as first and second year students, we get to take part in experiments, which gives us an insight into what to expect in the upcoming years. There is always something going on; from evening lectures to free movie nights, evening language classes, societies/sports club meetings, etc. Everything you need is accessible, within walking distance of campus or on campus. And, if you are interested in sightseeing, Dundee is only 30 minutes away from St Andrew’s. Or if you’re feeling more adventurous, Edinburgh and Glasgow are only about 1 hour and 30 minutes away by train. My advice is to come with an open mind and be ready for change and for trying new things. Importantly, you should make the most of your time! Try to do all the things you couldn’t do back home. It’s the right time. All the facilities and help are here for you.

Exemplary assistance for International Students
The key factor…that attracted me to this University was the direct entrance into second year …this allowed me to complete my Degree with Honours in three years rather than the normal four year period. The University of Dundee being steadily ranked as one of the top Institutions in the UK in the areas of Life Sciences, Medicine and Research was the also one of the main factors. The services and assistance provided by the University for International Students was exemplary and as soon as I disembarked from the train station and reached the City Centre I knew I would grow fond of this place. Dundee…is big enough to explore and appreciate yet small enough to get any and everywhere on foot. Dundee is comparatively cheap in areas of transport and living and offers a plethora of cultural and international cuisines to choose from. The student accommodation I resided in was brilliant. At no point in time did the feeling of homesickness kick in.

Choose Dundee.
I came to Dundee for an interview for my course, Architecture. I fell in love with the city, and the student-feel community. The campus was a good size, and everything was within walking distance. But the main reason I chose this University was because I liked the Architecture course layout and the studios. That you can be as creative as you want, and that you don't have any written exams! Also, you go on exciting trips abroad and get a thorough outlook on architecture in different cities. You need to be fully committed, and are expected to be in the studios every day. Just make sure you get the work done for deadlines, and don't be afraid to ask for help. It was such a whirlwind. Everything was happening so fast. Friends emerged...and lots of partying was to be had. The city was easy to get adjusted to. Everything was so simple and straight forward.

Amazing place to study
The decision I made to study abroad at the University of Dundee is truly one of the best decisions I have ever made. From the moment I arrived on campus, I felt that the University of Dundee is where I should be and I have felt this way since. The University of Dundee attracts students from around the globe and it has been amazing to meet so many people from so many places and learn about their native country. I studied Life Sciences at the University of Dundee and having my classes taught to me by experts in their field of study has certainly enriched my learning experience. It has sparked an eagerness to truly grasp the subjects, concepts and material being taught. The excitement and passion my professors have for their research truly radiates when they teach. Outside the classroom and lab, I became involved in the triathlon club, and was able to share my love of running, swimming, and biking with other members of the club. One of my favourite experiences in Scotland was being able to compete with the triathlon club in the Scottish Aquathon Championships.

Dundee - Ideal city for International Students
I came to Dundee for a year as an exchange student. The quality of the teaching here is very good - the class was not big, so it was good and easy to ask any questions. My best University experience was the ceilidh dinner because I discovered a lot of things about Dundee and Scotland. I've also enjoyed being involved with the triathlon club and practising sports at the ISE which is a very good place to do sport with a lot of room and machines.Settling in to life here was easy - I was living in a residence which is in the University, so I was close to everything. Welcome Week was also very good at the University with the marquee in front of the Union. Dundee is a very beautiful city also and I was very happy to be there [it] is an ideal city for international students because there are a lot students coming from all over the world and it is a small city so it is easy to find what you want and you are not lost.

Proud to be at Dundee
My experience of studying at the University of Dundee was unique and something I would never experience in Pakistan. The professors were great, very helpful and understanding and always fun to be with. The friends I made at Dundee are some of the lifelong relationships I have formed which can never be broken. The quality and standards of studying is something which competes with the best universities in the world. The facilities provided could not have been better and the entertainment, first class. Up till now, I would say that my biggest achievement has been securing a job with one of the top investment banks in the world (Morgan Stanley) and I must emphasise that it was not easy at all. Starting from the beginning when I came to Dundee, I got my first part time job ever which was as a PR for the Students' Union. I count this as an achievement as well because in Pakistan nobody even thinks of working and studying at the same time, and to successfully perform my job and get good grades is something I am very proud of.
