An awesome learning experience
My experience was awesome! My advice would be to put in the hours of study, make the most of the departamental resources, and to enjoy their learning experience.

Good old days I miss from time to time
Be ready for the cold and the parties (this is Dunedin for you!). And just enjoy the life at the student town. Everything is in walking distance to everywhere and anything.
