The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts officially opened in 1996, the school is located in Liverpool and the lead patron is Sir Paul McCartney. Around 680 students are currently enrolled at the Institute. The school caters to students who want to enter the performing arts world and has many courses for such students. It offers diploma, degree and postgraduate courses in the fields of Acting, Performing Arts Education, Dance Theatre Practice, Community Music and Contemporary Theatre Practice.
