About NUA

“For aspiring creatives there’s no better place to study - Norwich University of the Arts (NUA) provides an important taste of the real world to come.” - Stuart Craig OBE, Oscar and BAFTA winning production designer & NUA alumnus

Norwich University of the Arts is one of the best British art schools: a specialist arts, design and media university that draws on more than 170 years of history but with its focus on the future. It is a community of experimenters, makers and creators who delight in exploring new technologies.

NUA has been awarded Gold for its teaching standards by the Office for Students (OfS) and the Teaching Excellence Framework 2017; and ranked 10th in the UK for teaching quality by The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018.

NUA students will benefit from its friendly, stimulating and critically-engaged environment, with industry standard facilities.

At the heart of it all are NUA’s 2000+ students - artists, designers, and makers. NUA is home to international students from over 50 countries, bringing diverse interests and unique perspectives, sharing a desire to be challenged and inspired. NUA teaches students to be curious, to learn from the past and shape the future.

NUA graduates can be found in key positions at leading arts organisations, museums, galleries, fashion and textile houses, design and advertising agencies, UX and game development studios, film and media companies across the globe. There are Oscar nominees and BAFTA winners, and rising stars who are acclaimed and honoured across the creative industries: from award-winning fine artists to photographers and fashion designers.
