Overview

Established in 1978, Bede's Senior School at Hailsham grew out of Bede's Preparatory School in Eastbourne. The school is based at the heart of the rural village of Upper Dicker and is surrounded by over 100 beautiful acres of Sussex Downs National Park, a site of Special Scientific Interest. Bede's Senior School has grown rapidly over the years, from a starting figure of 23 students to today's enrolment of around 750. At Bede’s, students can choose from a wide range of subjects. The curriculum is centred around the core subjects of English, Science, Maths and Languages. Creative subjects also receive a lot of emphasis, giving students the chance to excel in music, art and dance. Students are encouraged to build on existing passions while discovering new pathways for exploration.
