Las Positas College

Las Positas College was established as an extension center of Chabot College in 1963. The college is located 40 miles southeast of San Francisco, in the heart of one of California's fastest growing regions for business, science, and technology. Las Positas College currently has close to 8,500 day and evening students on its rolls and offers a curriculum for students who seek career preparation, transfer to a four-year college or university, or personal enrichment. The College provides university transfer classes, retraining classes for those seeking career advancement, and enrichment classes for those in search of a broader perspective. The college also helps students transfer to the University of California system, the California State University system, and other four-year institutions of higher education. The college’s location in picturesque hills and vineyards provides a scenic background for the 147-acre campus.
