Los Medanos College

Los Medanos College (LMC), established in 1974, is one of three colleges in the Contra Costa Community College District. LMC has earned federal designations and offers award-winning transfer and career-technical programs and diverse academic opportunities in a supportive learning environment. The college’s courses draw from an innovative curriculum, lead to the award of degrees and certificates, and are complemented by state-of-the-art facilities. LMC has a new Brentwood Center, which houses 15 instructional classrooms, four science labs, tutoring labs, library resources, and open learning spaces. There is also a bookstore, a food service area, and over 700 parking spaces. The Pittsburg campus of the college features new offices and a meeting space for Student Life and the Associated Students, a large gathering area for student clubs, and a meeting space for up to four learning communities.
