The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) was founded in 1855 as the New Jersey State Normal School and is a primarily undergraduate and residential college, with targeted graduate programs. With a firm focus on the liberal arts, TCNJ’s personalized, collaborative, and rigorous education engages students at the highest level within and beyond the classroom. The college maintains the eighth highest four-year graduation rate among all public colleges and universities and is ranked by Money as one of the top 15 public colleges “most likely to pay off financially,” .
