A PhD in any area of travel, tourism and hospitality allows you to research in detail a specific area of interest. Institutions vary in the projects they offer depending on the expertise of their staff, but general topics may include: business management, tourism development, event management or food science.  You will develop an in-depth knowledge of your research area in order to make an original contribution in your final thesis. During the course you will master the required methodological skills, and some courses may require an initial paper in research methods.
