Bachelor of Arts (3 years) - with a major in Creative Industries

Australia

What will I learn?

Creative industries sit at the intersection of art, culture, technology and entrepreneurship, producing ideas and content that shape shared cultural experiences. From digital media, design and storytelling to festivals, events and creative production, the sector spans a wide range of practices and professions. As technology evolves and global audiences expand, creative professionals increasingly combine artistic thinking with practical business skills and an understanding of how creative work is produced, shared and experienced.

In the Creative Industries major, you’ll develop the skills to generate ideas and bring them to life – with opportunities to build on your own creative work in music, film, photography, podcasting, illustration, writing and beyond. Through practical project work, you’ll explore creative technologies, project development and entrepreneurial thinking while engaging with contemporary industry practices. You’ll also examine how emerging technologies and global markets influence creative endeavours. Having developed a broad set of creative and entrepreneurial skills, you’ll graduate ready to work in fields such as media, events, content creation and creative enterprise.
