Our graduates are in high demand, with most receiving a job offer before completing the course. We love getting out into the landscape, and you can participate in project site visits, filed trips, and study tours. We are one of Australia’s principal landscape architecture educators and our graduates are leading practitioners employed around the world. QUT is ranked in the top 100 universities in the world for architecture and built environment. You will work on landscape architectural projects in practical studio contexts, such as working with Indigenous communities, in post-industrial landscapes, with flood adaptation, with school communities, and on landscape regeneration projects. Our internationally experienced teaching team employs an ethical commitment to progressive and integrated practices. We pride ourselves on implementing both evidence-based and speculative design processes, underpinned by academic rigour and creativity. Our staff are linked to professional practice to ensure you gain knowledge of emerging trends within industry. With a landscape architecture degree, you may choose to work in private practice as a member of a large multidisciplinary team or in small partnerships or in government or non-government organisations.
