What will I learn?

Great teachers help young people develop confidence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning. Our Bachelor of Education (Primary, 1–10 Health and Physical Education) is a primary education degree that prepares you to teach Years 1 to 6 in primary school while specialising in health and physical education (HPE) for students up to Year 10. You’ll build a strong foundation in the primary curriculum, learning to teach subjects such as English, mathematics, science, humanities and social sciences, and the arts. At the same time, you’ll develop specialised knowledge and leadership skills in HPE, preparing you to plan and deliver engaging sport, movement and physical activity programs in schools and community settings. Put the theory into practice through professional placements in schools and diverse education environments, where you’ll work alongside experienced teachers and gain real insight into how classrooms and school communities operate.
