Bachelor of International Studies (3 years) - International Relations and Government

Australia

5

What will I learn?

In a world shaped by political instability, global disruption and shifting international relations, understanding how governments, institutions and global systems operate is becoming increasingly important. Employers across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors value professionals who can analyse complex political issues, evaluate competing interests and respond strategically to emerging global challenges.

In the International Relations and Government major, you’ll explore how power operates within and between states, institutions and communities while examining issues such as international security, foreign policy, global environmental politics, political economy and crisis governance. Through a combination of international relations, government and practical policy studies, you’ll develop the analytical, strategic and communication capabilities needed to contribute across political, diplomatic and public sector contexts at local, national and international levels.
