The Bachelor of Nursing at Holmesglen prepares students for a rewarding career as a Registered Nurse through hands-on clinical training, simulation-based learning and evidence-based practice. This industry-focused nursing degree develops the clinical skills, critical thinking and leadership abilities required to deliver safe, person-centred care in modern healthcare environments. Students gain real-world experience through extensive clinical placements and simulation labs guided by experienced educators and industry professionals. Accredited by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC), graduates are eligible to apply for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as Registered Nurses. Based at our Moorabbin campus health precinct, Holmesglen’s Bachelor of Nursing prepares students with the practical skills, clinical knowledge, and professional communication required for contemporary healthcare environments. Students learn in Holmesglen’s Holmesglen’s Simulation Centre, featuring fully equipped clinical wards, simulation apartments, skills laboratories, science laboratories, computer laboratories, collaborative learning spaces, and immersive learning environments with audio-visual streaming and recording technology designed to replicate real healthcare settings. Clinical placements take place across a variety of healthcare settings throughout Victoria, including aged care, acute and sub-acute, community, mental health, paediatric, and high-dependency nursing. Digital course delivery is supported through Holmesglen’s Brightspace learning management system, with access to learning resources, assessments, collaboration tools, library services, open-access computing facilities, and digital learning resources that support nursing and healthcare education.
