The Diploma in Engineering program is an introduction to engineering, with an opportunity to solve real-world problems, create design proposals, develop evidence-based ideas and apply what you have learnt through practical units. The program provides additional academic support, preparing you for successful study at QUT. You will learn from qualified teachers, which will prepare you well for your degree studies. Our Diploma programs are regularly updated so they reflect the content of QUT Bachelor courses, which means you will be able to use the knowledge and skills you gain when you transition into university. The Diploma in Engineering draws on units from QUT's Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree, introducing you to foundational engineering concepts, knowledge and technical skills. Our diploma also has a strong focus on helping you develop the academic skills you’ll need at university, preparing you for successful study.All units adopt a blended approach to learning. On-campus classes are supported by online activities, helping you to become an independent learner. You’ll benefit from additional contact hours with experienced QUT educators in a close-knit learning environment allowing a more personalised learning experience.
