What will I learn?

The Diploma of Alcohol and Other Drugs Practice provides an introduction to contemporary issues, research, and interventions within the Australian alcohol and other drugs (AOD) sector. Designed for individuals seeking entry into the AOD field, the program is also well-suited for professionals working in mental health, education, nursing, social work, Indigenous studies, and health sciences. This diploma integrates the latest evidence-based research to equip students with the skills and competencies necessary to address the complex and evolving challenges within the AOD sector. It also supports professional development, enhances employment opportunities, and serves as a pathway to future undergraduate studies. Graduates develop the ability to evaluate and apply current research in the AOD field, gain practical skills that increase job prospects, and cultivate competencies for professional practice within various service delivery environments.
