What will I learn?

Through the Graduate Diploma in Music (Composition), you will acquire advanced skills in instrumental and vocal writing, orchestration, electro-acoustic music, professional score presentation, rehearsal skills and concert management, alongside the development of a personal and original compositional voice. The program encourages composition in all styles, and you learn to work through all phases of the composition process, from generation of first ideas, to completion of a professionally presented score, to interaction with performers in rehearsals, culminating in a public performance of your work.

Applicants for the Graduate Diploma in Music (Composition) are required to have:An undergraduate degree (in any discipline other than music) with a weighted average mark of at least 65% or equivalent;ORAt least five years of documented professional experience relevant to the specialisation.
