What will I learn?

Learn the essential practical, theoretical and technical skills necessary for digital communication. You’ll learn the core communication areas of social media strategy, search engine optimisation, digital content strategy and web analytics.

Throughout this project-based course you'll cover all aspects of a web communication campaign, from developing digital personae to pitching ideas to a client. You’ll learn how web communication works in business, society and in the political realm, while learning how to plan social media and digital communication campaigns for different target audiences.

Develop your knowledge in web communication strategy, digital platforms (such as websites and social media) and data analysis so that you can maximise your opportunities and reach in this continually changing professional landscape. This course has a very practical focus and you will learn through doing.

Applicants must have completed a Bachelor degree (AQF level 7) or equivalent; Successful completion of at least two university units at AQF level 7 degree or above. Academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS): overall 6.0 with no band below 6.0; Test of English as a Foreign Language - IBT (TOEFL IBT): 73 with no band less than 18; Test of English as a Foreign Language - Paper Based (TOEFL - Paper Based): 534 (Test of Written English not less than 4.5); Pearson Test of English (PTE) - 50 with no band below 50; Cambridge Advanced English prior 52 with no section less than Borderline; Cambridge Advanced English after 169 overall with no band below 169 ; Occupational English Test (OET): OET with a minimum of C in the four components.

For international students

Recognised Bachelor's degree in any field, or equivalent training, or satisfactory preparation for the course through previous study or professional experience.

English Language requirements: IELTS overall 6.0 with no band below 6.0; CAE - 169 overall with no band below 169; PTE - 50 with no band below 50; TOEFL IBT - 73 with no band less than 18; Test of English as a Foreign Language - Paper Based (TOEFL - Paper Based) - 534 (Test of Written English not less than 4.5); OET - OET with a minimum of C (250-290) in each of the four components.
