The Financial Analytics and Technology major prepares you for entry into a rapidly evolving, technology-driven financial profession. You’ll develop in-demand analytical and technological skills, along with a strong understanding of the economic forces and sector-wide technologies reshaping financial markets. You’ll also gain an understanding of regulatory environments and governance principles, preparing you to make ethically informed decisions in complex financial settings. Building on this, you’ll put your knowledge into practice through industry-based projects, exploring real-world financial and business challenges - including how sector-wide technologies are creating new investment opportunities, decision-making tools, and ethical questions, alongside considerations of sustainability and the broader impact of organisations in national and global contexts. By the end of the degree, you’ll be able to confidently interpret and communicate financial information with clarity, using industry-standard analytical tools to analyse data and present insights professionally to a range of audiences. You’ll also develop the ability to think critically and independently, applying your skills to plan and deliver strategic, research-informed responses to real-world financial management challenges in domestic and international contexts.
