Climate change is one of the biggest challenges of the 21st century, and will impact all facets of society and industry. Understanding how the climate system works – and applying that knowledge to address these challenges – will allow you to shape how our cities, workplaces and lifestyles can adapt.The Master of Climate Science is the only science-focused degree of its kind in Australia. Strengthen your future, and the future of the planet, with advanced knowledge spanning physical climate science, climate change science, techniques and limitations of climate modelling, and climate policy.With a flexible approach to choosing your subjects, you can focus on climate policy or deepen your knowledge of physical climate science. Complete an internship subject and build your professional skills development alongside top climate scientists, including lead authors from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Or take your studies further with graduate research, delivering insights that will help inform climate change solutions for the coming century.

Entry requirements

For international students

To be considered for entry, you must have completed: An undergraduate degree in physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science, engineering, environmental science or an equivalent qualification with a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of at least 65 per cent, and Undergraduate mathematics equivalent to Calculus 1 (Calculus 2 may be necessary for some electives). English language requirements:
