This specialist degree is designed for professionals or graduates to pursue composition or performance at postgraduate level, as well as investigate the theoretical/historical aspects of performance and composition.This specialist degree extends existing skills in music, both as a professional-level degree and as a platform for doctoral-level study. Entry requirements

For international students

Applicants are expected to have a Bachelor of Music with at least upper second class honours or equivalent. An applicant who does not have a Bachelor of Music with at least upper second class honours or whose major field of study has not been music may be required to pass a qualifying examination or undertake preliminary study. Applicants for the Master of Music will be required to pass an admission audition and interview (performance) or portfolio review (composition and musicology) for the Conservatorium before lodging an application with the Graduate Research School.
