The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) is a two-year research degree that may serve as a pathway to the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). It is your opportunity to add to society’s body of knowledge relating to your specialist study area. You’ll undertake extended and focussed study on a particular area of research interest or in the development of a creative work. As a MPhil candidate, you will be part of Bond’s close-knit Higher Degree by Research (HDR) community where you will be supported by a team of academic and professional staff. We operate a team approach to supervision with each candidate supported by a principal supervisor and associate supervisors who offer expertise in a specific aspect of your project. Working closely together, it is not unusual for supervisors and candidates to be co-authors in publications resulting from the student’s dissertation. Through our dedicated HDR Unit, you’ll receive administrative support, specialist advice, access to training and funding for expenses related to conference presentations and project costs.
