What will I learn?

This research course develops a strong critical and problem solving approach to professional practice in the biomedical and medical sciences. The course forms a basis for the professional development of experts able to plan, analyse, evaluate, conduct and communicate the outcomes of sophisticated research and development problems.Curtin is widely recognised for applied research firmly focused on solving real-world problems. Investigate, analyse and synthesise complex information, problems, concepts and theories and to apply established theories to different bodies of knowledge or practice. Generate and evaluate complex ideas and concepts at an abstract level. Design, use and evaluate research and research methods. Communicate and present a coherent and sustained argument and to disseminate research concepts, plans and results to the general community, peers and national and international research community. Design, evaluate, implement, analyse, theorise and disseminate research that makes an original contribution to knowledge.

Entry requirements

For international students

To be considered for admission to a Master of Research program an applicant must be completing, but not have completed, the Degree of Bachelor with first class honours or upper second-class honours within Curtin.

Certificate in Advanced English (CAE): 176; and Pearson Test of English Academic: 60.
