What will I learn?

Learn to provide smart, cost-effective and environmentally responsible infrastructure solutions for a sustainable society. This course is designed for engineers with a background in civil engineering looking to upskill or be introduced to the field of sustainable infrastructure. Gain valuable experience in managing projects across a range of industries and learn to manage constraints in time, cost, quality, as well as social, political and environmental challenges.You will graduate with advanced contemporary knowledge and skills in sustainable infrastructure, specialising in either smart transport and mobility, or water engineering. Effectively communicate water engineering problems, related complex data and solutions in contemporary professional formats for diverse purposes and audiences. Undertake units in catchment hydrology and flood modelling, artificial intelligence in water modelling, and developing more sustainable and energy efficient water and wastewater treatment solutions.

Entry requirements

For international students

A recognised completed four-year full-time (or equivalent) bachelor degree of engineering in civil engineering (or equivalent) and equivalents with a minimum GPA of 4.00 (on QUT's 7 point scale).

IELTS Academic score of 6.5 with Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking score of 6; TOEFL iBT score of 79 with Listening, Reading score of 16, Writing score of 21 and Speaking score of 18; Pearson PTE (Academic) score of 58 with Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking score of 50; Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) score of 176 with Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking score of 169.
