What will I learn?

Take the first step towards a variety of careers with an Associate of Arts Degree in Mathematics. You’ll be exposed to a mix of mathematics and arts courses that will help develop and enhance your critical thinking, writing, research and presentation skills competencies that are crucial to success in your career or further education. You'll also develop your appreciation for the importance and beauty of mathematics as you improve your numeracy and analytical skills. Get work experience during your education Put your skills to work by joining the optional Co-operative Education Program, which alternates semesters of study with paid, full-time work in your field. You’ll earn money while gaining experience, building your resume and getting an employer reference, all before you graduate. To participate in Co-op you need to plan two semesters in advance, so we strongly recommend contacting the Co-op Office at the start of your program.

Entry requirements

For international students

High school graduation OR 19 years of age by the end of the first month of studies in the semester of entry to Douglas College; andMinimum overall grade average of 60% (or equivalent) in the final year of high school; andMinimum final grade of “C” or 60% (or equivalent) in Grade 11 Mathematics or equivalent for most programs
