What will I learn?

The McMaster University Baccalaureate Nursing Programs (Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program: Basic, Accelerated and Post Diploma RPN Stream) are approved by the College of Nurses of Ontario. Current graduates from these programs are eligible to apply for registration as a Registered Nurse in Ontario.The Accelerated (F) Stream consists of five consecutive terms of study and is designed for students coming from a university science program of study. This stream is offered at the McMaster site.The Accelerated (F) Stream is designed for students who have already completed at least 2 years or 54 units of university study. This is primarily in a science program. There are a number of pre-requisites which must be completed before applying to the program. These are listed in the admission requirements.After successful completion of the BScN program, graduates may apply to the College of Nurses of Ontario to write a licensing exam and become a Registered Nurse.

Entry requirements

For international students

International Baccalaureate - High school transcript with predicted and or final IB grades. Final IB diploma results must be submitted to be considered for advanced credit. International Secondary School - High School transcript with interim and or final grades. Achieve a Cumulative Average of at least B (75%) in the last 2 full years of university degree credit courses taken (minimum 54 Units) Achieve a minimum grade of at least C- (60%) on each of the following required courses: 6 units of Psychology, 3 units of which must be at the introductory level, the other 3 units must focus on the human aspects of psychology science 6 units of Human Physiology OR 6 units of Human Anatomy and Human Physiology courses; the courses collectively must cover all human systems: Nervous, Endocrine, Cardiac, Respiratory, Digestive, Reproductive, Urinary, Musculoskeletal and Acid/Base balance 6 units in any of the following science courses: Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Nutrition, Kinesiology 3 units of Statistics
