Nurses are in high demand in Alberta-and the Bridge to Canadian Nursing program aims to increase the number of trained nurses in the province. If you are an internationally educated nurse who would like to practice in Canada, a locally educated nurse who needs a refresher, or if you simply want to upgrade your nursing skills and knowledge, this flexible program is for you.Upon completion of this program, nurses are prepared to meet the health-care needs of Canadians and the entry-level competencies for RNs outlined by the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) and the CNA Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses.

Entry requirements

For international students

Applicants must have a minimum overall average of 65 percent, with no course grade lower than 50 percent, in the following high school courses: ELA 30-1 Biology 30 Chemistry 30 or Science 30 Mathematics 30-1, Mathematics 30-2 or Mathematics 31 One subject from Group A, B, C or D course
