What will I learn?

The Bridge to Canadian Nursing (BCN) program at Mount Royal University provides a supportive educational environment for internationally educated nurses to build confidence and competence as they transition into the Canadian healthcare system. The program helps ''bridge'' the differences between previous nursing experience and practice in Canada in areas such as professional communication skills, health alterations and therapeutics, health assessment, professional nursing skills, nursing clinical practice in a medical/surgical environment and more.

Entry requirements

For international students

To be eligible for admission to the program, you must meet the English Language Proficiency (Institutional) requirement for Mount Royal University, and one of the following: Provide proof of registration as a registered nurse in Canada (active within the last ten years). Provide a letter from the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) identifying bridging or refresh requirements. Provide evidence of a recognized credential, earned within the last ten years, that meets the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) requirements for participating in the program.
