What will I learn?

The Master of Science in Accounting offers a postgraduate route to a career in professional accounting. This one-year full-time programme focuses on not only the content and skills required to continue with the professional accountancy exams, but also with the development of skills and knowledge in areas of increasing importance in the profession, such as an in-depth knowledge around issues of sustainability, and data analytics. Students who successfully complete the MSc in Accounting, will graduate with full exemptions from all but the Final Admitting Examination (FAE) of Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI), and exemption from Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) Part 1 exams of the Irish Tax Institute. The MSc in Accounting offered by the Kemmy Business School offers students core subjects required for the pursuit of a career in professional accounting in areas of taxation, auditing, management accounting, finance, and financial accounting. This programme also offers you the chance to be led by a teaching staff with pedagogical and scholarship expertise in core and contemporary areas of accountancy. The MSc in Accounting has been developed to equip students with expertise in areas of growing importance in the accountancy profession, namely sustainability and data analytics.
