What will I learn?

The BCL (International) is an exciting and dynamic degree which offers students the opportunity to spend a semester or a full academic year at a law school in Europe, the US, Canada, or China. We have a wide variety of prestigious partner institutions and the study abroad period can be tailored to suit your interests, both academically and culturally. Our partner institutions have a wide variety of specialisations in, for example, international human rights law, business and commercial law, constitutional law, and health law.

Entry requirements

For international students

For 2025 entry, full-time degree students must normally have reached 17 years of age by 15th January 2026. Where a candidate below that age seeks to enter UCC, a special application must be made to the President of the University. Applications will be considered from applicants whose qualifications are equivalent to the Irish Leaving Certificate. Applications will be considered on a case by case basis.
