Our BA/BE(Hons) helps to develop the skills you’ll need to adapt and thrive in a fast-changing, globalised economy. The five-year programme blends theoretical and practical work. You can combine one of our nine engineering specialisations with a wide range of subjects in the humanities, social sciences, cultures and languages. All our Engineering specialisations are accredited by Engineering New Zealand, making this programme a recognised qualification in many countries.You can study topics ranging from human evolution and the development of human culture to aspects of modern society. Our courses include: Analysis of past human behaviour and culture through what has been left behind How humans have evolved and continue to respond to changing circumstances Cultures, societies and ways of life, ranging from tribal communities to postmodern societies Music and its social functions in different cultures and societies.
