What will I learn?

This programme is for those who would like to extend their undergraduate degree with specialist research skills and knowledge in sport and exercise science. The programme is research intensive and involves papers including Advanced Research Methods (30 credits), a dissertation (60 credits) and a selected specialist area (30 credits). Our postgraduate sports programmes focus on applied learning, are strongly industry-focused, and supported by a team of highly-skilled academic staff. Students will get to apply their learning in our purpose-built facilities.

Entry requirements

For international students

a) Applicants are required to have gained a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science at the Waikato Institute of Technology, with a grades average of B or better in the final year of full-time study (or equivalent in part-time study), and a grade of B or better in the third year research project (or equivalent); orb) Have an equivalent undergraduate degree.IELTS - 6.5, with no individual band score of lower than 6.0, or equivalentTOEFL iBT - Score of 79 (with a writing score of 21)
