What will I learn?

Enhance your knowledge of how the built environment is designed by completing a 60-point GCertDE in an area of architecture you haven't studied before. Whether you're a recent graduate or already working in the industry, the Certificate will give you the opportunity to take a detailed look at current issues, new technologies and advancements within the built environment. Choose from a variety of specialist learning options from areas including architecture, landscape, and building science. You'll study a combination of courses from 200- to 400-level. You can tailor your studies to suit your current area of expertise and career goals, or explore a new specialisation.Learn to apply architectural principles to the design of interior spaces in different settings. You'll develop your ability to communicate ideas using a range of media, to a range of clients with varying needs. Gain the skills required to pursue a career in furniture design, installation work and exhibition design, or as a professional interior architecture specialist.

Entry requirements

For international students

You need a Bachelors degree with at least a B average unless stated otherwise in the programmes minimum general entry requirements. A background in a particular subject area or extensive relevant work experience may be required. Students with equivalent international qualifications from a recognised institution are encouraged to apply. Each application is assessed individually, and entry into postgraduate programmes is at the discretion of the programme director.
