Expand your career options with the Accounting specialisation in the Master of Business by developing research skills to help answer important questions about the disclosure of information, the use of accounting in decision making, sustainability accounting and more. The Master of Business in Accounting is a research-based programme that advances your knowledge of specialist topics and theory in accounting, and research methodologies, equipping you with the skills to undertake research into a contemporary issue in accounting practice. AUT's Accounting department is well connected with local and global professional accounting bodies – the Association of Chartered Accountants (ACCA), Certified Practising Accountant Australia (CPA Australia), Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) – ensuring our programmes are informed by the latest practice and trends in professional accounting.

Entry requirements

For international students

Completed one of the following or equivalent with a B grade average or higher in courses at level 7 or above: Bachelor of Business OR Graduate Diploma in Business Students who studied level 7 business courses as part of a degree different than stated above may also meet the entry requirements. If this applies to you, contact us to find out more. All final admission to the Master of Business is subject to approval by the dean (or representative).
