What will I learn?

Become a teacher with AUT’s Master of Teaching and Learning, a one-year professional qualification for students with a bachelor’s degree who want to work as an early childhood or primary/intermediate teacher. This one-year intensive programme runs longer than the standard academic year, with courses totalling 180 points. The difference between this master’s degree and the postgraduate diploma is a 30-point research course in your second semester. Specialise in either early childhood or primary teaching, and study courses focusing on curriculum and education theory. You’ll also complete teaching practicums in an early childhood setting or a primary/intermediate classroom.
