What will I learn?

This certificate allows you to complete postgraduate taught courses in a diverse range of subjects that are related to health sciences. Complete a generic programme or specialise in one subject area. This certificate programme enables health professionals to specialise in their area of practice at postgraduate level, according to the specialisation chosen. Students who complete this programme will be able to provide health care advice to women in all areas of reproductive health and wellbeing. Depending on the graduates professional scope of practice completion of this qualification will assist the practitioner in prescribing treatment in this area. This specialisation is offered by the School of Medicine. Courses in this specialisation are offered in a distance learning format.

Entry requirements

For international students

You must have completed an undergraduate degree at a recognised university (or similar institution) in a health-related discipline such as health sciences, medicine, nursing, optometry, pharmacy, psychology, or social work.

You must be a health professional currently working in these service areas.

IELTS (Academic): Overall score of 6.5 with no bands less than 6.0; Internet-based TOEFL (iBT): Overall score of 90 and written score of 21; Paper-based TOEFL: Overall score of 68 and a writing score of 21; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE): Overall score of 176 and no bands below 169; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Overall score of 58 and no PTE Communicative score below 50; Foundation Certificate in English for Academic Purposes (FCertEAP): Grade of B-; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB): 85.
