What will I learn?

Specialise in teaching English or another language as a foreign language. The PGDipLT is a professional language teaching qualification, combining theory with practice and familiarising you with current teaching approaches. You will become familiar with current approaches in the field of foreign language teaching, and engage with both theory and practice. You can explore a variety of areas such as materials development, course and syllabus design, task-based language teaching, the structure of language and computer-assisted language learning.

Entry requirements

For international students

You must have completed one of the following at a recognised university (or similar institution):

Any degree or professional qualification related to language teaching, and at least two years of second language teaching experience.
A Bachelor of Arts in language teaching, linguistics, a language, or a subject related to language teaching.
