What will I learn?

Our MEng Aerospace Electronic Engineering degree can also be taken with an additional year in industry. The year in industry is taken after Year 2 or Year 3 and is assessed by academics and industry experts. This can be a great way to give you a competitive edge among graduate recruiters by showing you can relate your academic skills and knowledge to contemporary industrial practice.This five-year MEng Aerospace Electronic Engineering degree with an industrial studies year will enable you to gain the skills fundamental to modern aerospace electronic systems, both theoretical and practical. The course has been specifically designed to focus on electronics for aerospace and spacecraft systems. Key areas of study include electronic circuits and systems, flight mechanics and aerospace systems, radar techniques and applications, guidance, navigation and control, space systems engineering, digital systems and microprocessors, programming and computer engineering, devices and solid state electronics and mathematics. You will have the opportunity to design, simulate and build a unique aerospace electronic system as part of your third year individual project, and will collaborate with an academic working at the cutting-edge of research to develop analytical and innovative solutions to engineering problems. Entry requirements

For international students

GCE A-Level: Grades ABB. There are no specific subject requirements, except for the Chemical Engineering pathway, which requires A-level Chemistry. However, there are restricted subjects or restricted subject combinations, depending on your chosen progression pathway. Further details of these restrictions are on the programme overview tab on this page. International Baccalaureate Diploma: 32 points overall, including 5 points in Standard or Higher Level Mathematics (Analysis and approaches or Applications and interpretation). There are no specific subject requirements, except for Chemical Engineering, which requires Higher Level Chemistry. However, there are restricted subjects or restricted subject combinations, depending on your chosen progression pathway. Further details of these restrictions are on the programme overview tab on this page. You will need a Grade B/6 in GCSE Mathematics and a Grade C/4 in GCSE English language or equivalent. In addition to meeting the GCSE requirements, you will also need to achieve the required grades in one of the following qualifications.
