What will I learn?

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly changing the way we live, work and learn. If you are looking to pursue a career in this booming field, this programme will give you the skills you need, as it is designed to maximise employability across a wide spectrum of industrial and academic posts related to AI. This MSc has been developed with the support of the Institute of Coding.

Develop systematic awareness of the current development of AI, themed around the most popular AI topics: games, robotics, vision, music and language.

Students on this programme full time may be eligible for the DeepMind Scholarship.

What you'll study

This MSc allows you to focus your studies and combine different AI topics to suit your personal requirements and future plans. Our world-class teaching, research and industrial contacts will support you as you learn to understand fundamental AI concepts. You will study universal machine learning tools essential for any AI job profile, as well as specific practical and research skills on all five of the AI topics.

You will gain experience with cutting-edge tools such as Deep Neural Networks (DNN), Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN), and Deep Reinforcement Learning (Deep RL), via regular exercises and practical labs. You will work closely with your lecturers and supervisors to carry out a major project on the AI topic that you want to specialise in.

Assessment

Modules are assessed through a combination of coursework and written examinations.

You will also be assessed through an individual project.

Entry requirements

For international students

Students need to have a 2:1 or above at undergraduate level in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related discipline. IELTS 6.5 overall including 6.5 in Writing, Reading, Listening and Speaking. TOEFL 92 overall including 24 in Writing, 22 in Reading, 21 in Listening and 23 in Speaking.
