What will I learn?

The BSc Nursing Studies programme at UWS is specifically designed to attract international nurses who wish to enhance their professional careers by developing the skills and knowledge needed to address the evolving health needs of diverse populations. This solution-focused and innovative course equips graduates with in-depth knowledge of contemporary nursing practice, enabling them to deliver safe, effective, person-centred, and compassionate care. It also fosters analytical thinking to evaluate the role of nursing in various socio-economic environments and promotes a proactive approach to tackling health and workplace challenges. The programme is aimed at supporting career advancement in nursing leadership and advanced clinical practice. While successful completion of the course does not result in automatic registration with the UK Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), it does meet the minimum qualification requirement to attempt the NMC Test of Competence (ToC), which is essential for registration. Further information on the ToC is available on the NMC website.
