What will I learn?

This five year undergraduate apprenticeship programme was designed and developed in collaboration with NHS Trusts and people who have lived experience of mental illness through the PCPI initiative, to ensure compassionate and competent person-centred care is in the hearts and minds of future registrants.There are three different strands to the apprenticeship which are Adult, Mental Health, and Learning Disability. The programme will enable demonstration of achievement of proficiency against the NMC seven platforms and two annexes:Platform 1: Being an accountable professional (BAP)Platform 2: Promoting health and preventing ill health (PHPIH)Platform 3: Assessing needs and planning care (ANPC)Platform 4: Providing and evaluating care (PEC)Platform 5: Leading and managing nursing care and working in teams (LMNC)Platform 6: Improving safety and quality of care (ISQC)Platform 7: Coordinating care (CC)Annexe A: Communication and relationship management skillsAnnexe B: Nursing procedures
