What will I learn?

This integrated programme is designed to prepare and support you for a career in business, management and marketing across a wide range of sectors. From the moment you enrol, you will begin developing the knowledge, skills and commercial awareness needed to succeed in a competitive, customer-focused environment.In the first year, you will build a strong foundation for studying at university level. You will develop key academic and professional skills such as communication, numeracy, critical thinking and independent learning, while exploring contemporary issues affecting organisations and the global economy. Through project work and practical activities, you will develop your skills in research, analysis and problem-solving.As you progress, you will explore key areas of business including marketing, finance, economics and operations, alongside developing specialist knowledge in marketing, branding and customer engagement. You will gain an understanding of how organisations create value for customers and compete in dynamic markets.The programme prepares you for a wide range of careers in marketing and business, with opportunities to tailor your studies to your interests.In the first year of the programme, you will build a strong foundation for studying business, management and marketing at university level. You will develop key academic and professional skills such as communication, numeracy, critical thinking and independent learning, while being introduced to how organisations operate and how they engage with customers. Through project work and practical activities, you will begin to analyse business situations, interpret information and develop your problem-solving skills.The programme uses a range of teaching methods to support your learning and development. Teaching typically takes place through lectures, seminars and workshops, where you will explore business and marketing concepts and apply them to real-world examples, including case studies and current industry issues. You will be supported to develop your academic skills as well as your creativity and communication.As you progress, you will explore business and management in greater depth, alongside marketing topics such as consumer behaviour, digital marketing and brand strategy. You will develop your ability to evaluate information, think creatively, make informed decisions and respond to real-world business challenges.Assessment varies by module and may include coursework, reports, marketing plans, presentations, group work and examinations. You will receive feedback to support your development, with assessments becoming more independent and applied as you progress.
