**Part of everyday life, chemistry is vital for tackling the world’s most urgent problems - from green technologies to developing new treatments to keep us healthy.** This accredited, four-year course includes a year working as a company employee during year three, giving you the opportunity to develop your professional skills while earning a salary. Throughout the course, you’ll gain a broad understanding of chemistry, with the opportunity to specialise in the areas you’re interested in through optional modules and a research project. You will study core topics on analytical, physical, organic, inorganic and solid-state chemistry, and choose from a wide range of optional modules ranging from green and sustainable chemistry and drug development to heterogenous catalysis and engineering biosynthesis. In the lab, you’ll gain the practical and theoretical skills needed to design experiments and test hypotheses.
