You'll prepare for a challenging but rewarding career in health and social care on this counselling course.**As part of this counselling and mental health degree, you’ll:- Explore a wide range of theories within psychology, mental health, counselling, child development and psychotherapy- Combine theoretical knowledge with your ability to build effective therapeutic relationships - Study a variety of therapeutic approaches - Explore psychotherapeutic models including cognitive and behavioural development and look at theories on how mental health issues develop across the lifespan- Learn how to develop your interpersonal skills in order to build supportive, empathetic relationships between you and your clients This course will open employment opportunities across a range of roles. However, if you wish to focus on becoming a Counsellor, after graduating you'll be eligible to apply for postgraduate professionally accredited counselling course to fulfil the next step of your training.
