What will I learn?

Every organisation is potentially at risk from cyber crime. Governments, corporations, charities and other organisations can be targeted at any time, with devastating results. Our MSc in Cyber Security gives you the skills and techniques you need to protect institutions and citizens from a variety of damaging online attacks. Taught by experienced experts and informed by Kent’s world-class cyber security research, it will enable you to identify complex security issues, design and develop more secure systems, and anticipate future threats. The course is accredited by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), meaning it is among the top tier of cyber security courses in the UK. It is designed for computing graduates who are looking to develop their abilities and programming skills, and secure a role in this fast-paced field. You’ll build your expertise in areas that are high priorities for employers today, including ethical hacking, Artificial Intelligence, cryptography and network security. At every step, you’ll strengthen what you learn with a selection of group projects and challenges devised in collaboration with industry partners. Each subject is taught by academics and guest experts who are at the forefront of cyber security. You’ll also have the opportunity to develop your abilities in the workplace with a paid placement.
