With many global organisations having research and development facilities across the UK, the choice is yours. Be Inspired by industryThis programme is shaped by our outstanding industry connections. To set yourself up for employment success, you’ll have the opportunity to apply for industrial experience with our flexible 4-year course. We invite guest speakers from companies such as H&MV Engineering, Ricardo plc, and Octopus Electric Vehicles. We also offer IET membership, so you can receive sector updates and access to networking. Our course is continually developing and adapting to meet the fast-paced industry demands. Our team of research-active academics update the modules based on the latest developments in the industry. So, you’ll learn about relevant topics from communication and wireless systems to power systems and electric vehicles. Equipped with specialised skills ready to solve real-world problems, you’ll put your knowledge into action in our newly refurbished electronics lab. We were recently ranked 16th in the world and 1st in the UK for Electrical and Electronic Engineering - US News World University Ranking 2024.This programme will be reviewed for re-accreditation by the Institute of Engineering and Technology on behalf of the Engineering Council in December 2025. This review is expected to result in accreditation for the 2026 and 2027 intakes. Accreditation can only be granted after a successful review and is subject to approval by the Institute of Engineering and Technology Academic Accreditation Committee.
