What will I learn?

Take your expertise into an independent research degree focused on solving complex, real-world engineering challenges. Investigate themes across electrical power systems, renewable energy, control systems, robotics, intelligent systems and signal processing. Contribute to research improving the efficiency, sustainability, security and reliability of modern energy networks. Our research culture already influencing practice – from improving the safety of nuclear power plants in India, pioneering the adoption of clean solar energy in the 2 seas region of northern Europe, to developing an energy autonomous community on the Isle of Wight.
