What will I learn?

Birmingham's MSc Financial Management is designed to give you a deep, practical understanding of corporate finance, financial modelling, business valuation, and treasury management. You will develop technical expertise across core areas including financial statement analysis, ethics, governance, and regulatory frameworks alongside specialist knowledge in risk analysis, alternative finance, and international treasury management. Whether you are building on a finance background or bridging into the sector from another discipline, this programme addresses the knowledge gaps that matter and equips you to apply that knowledge in real-world settings. You will study in one of the UK's largest financial and professional services hubs outside London, develop hands-on skills through our Bloomberg Training Suite, and have the option to work towards globally recognised Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT) qualifications alongside your degree. Delivered by a triple-crown accredited business school, the MSc Financial Management is available with a September 2026 or January 2027 start date, with both intakes offering the same core curriculum and dissertation.
